Hadith - Sahih Bukhari, Abdu Dawud, Muslim and Malik
'A'ishah (RA) said, "The Prophet of Allah, upon him be peace, never once chose the more difficult of two matters, so long as the simpler choice was not sinful. If it was sinful, he would be the last of people to choose it. Never once did the Prophet of Allah seek revenge for himself. However, if a wrong was done to what Allah had made sacred, he would seek revenge for Allah."
