Dear Friends,
As you are well aware that Pakistan is the country which is full of natural beauty and no one can deny that.
There are many among the youth of our country who underestimate the beauty of Pakistan; they fail to see the treasures hidden under the cultural landscape and look at it condescendingly, comparing it to other countries with superficial “luxuries” to offer. Among the many things that are unwary of, they do not know that this wondrous land which is the sixth most populous country in the world and second largest populous country in the Muslims counties. It has been listed as one of the next eleven economies identified by Goldman Sachs investment bank and is believed to have a high potential of becoming the world’s largest economies in the 21st century, Insha’ALLAH.
Pakistan is blessed with the most beautiful terrain and scenery, the three mighty mountain ranges, longest glaciers, and a very vibrant and diverse culture. We have second highest mountain peaks of the world which is K-2 and we have a long sunny coast line. Then what else our country lacks to flourish its tourism?
Where as a foreign tourist has a different experience “security condition up in the mountains has never been bad until the recent sectarian killings and resulting violence in GB” said Moritz Stien Hilber, a German travel guide and author of a book about traveling in Pakistan in German Language “I have been traveling to Pakistan since 1989 and I have been to most parts of the country, unlike the perception abroad, I have found Pakistan mostly safe and rich in nature, history and culture also people are very welcoming” said Moritz.
“Even after 9/11 until before 2007 the tourism industry of Pakistan was on its feet and it was contributing to the economy of the country though even then it was small as compared to the tourism industry of Nepal”Why so? Answering this question he said “Tourists want comfort” he explained “In Nepal they have fully furnished hostels on the treks also they can get visa on arrival so tourist go there however Nepal had also questionable law and order situation” he added.
For above mentioned reason we think its a time to take a step forward to promote the Tourism industry of Pakistan locally as well as internationally and for this purpose we decided to publish the first Pakistan's Tourism Monthly Magazine"Tourism Leisure"
The Main focus of Tourism Leisure is to introduce Pakistan's Tourism as well as international tourist places to the people of Pakistan. The first edition of the magazine will be published in January 2013 with more then 1000 copies.
