All the things that we have been through
you should understand as I understand you
I can no longer hold my heart still
it desires to love you beyond imagination
I have grown accustomed to a mundane existence
constantly reminded of how we use to be
pleasant memories now bring forth pain
I want the woman I first fell in love with
the one who tantalized me with intelligence
your wit and charm was replaced with silence
our love now is like the remains of life
when humans pass away into spirit
leaving behind their skeleton remains
of what they use to be and what
you and I have finally evolved into
