Sialkot Stallions could become the first Pakistan side to play in the Champions League
The Champions League Twenty20 is set to have a team from Pakistan for the first time. The BCCI has said it will recommend to the tournament's governing council, which is scheduled to meet on May 28, that it had no objection to a team from Pakistan participating.
The decision was taken at the BCCI's working committee meeting in Chennai today, where it was also decided to distribute (http://www.espncricinfo.com/india/content/current/story/564579.html) approx $13m to ex-Indian players, nominate BCCI president N Srinivasan for president of the Asian Cricket Council, set up a BCCI anti-corruption unit, introduce a cruator's certification course and set up matches between IPL teams and Associate/Affiliate countires. The committee also decided to look into suggestions made by players and coaches on Indian domestic cricket and ratify the six-year television rights deal with Star India Pvt Ltd.
