I cannot imagine,

Being without you,
Waking without you,
Sleeping without you,

I cannot imagine,

Losing everything for you,
Losing a love that most only dream,
Losing my heart to such a scheme,

I cannot imagine,

I will have to face my own truth in all this pain,
Thinking you don’t care anymore,
Thinking you never really loved me before,
That someone else could love you more.

I cannot imagine,

The pain of giving up this life with you,
Living this life without you,
Me with anyone else but you.

I cannot imagine,

Our life this love will not permit,
Signs on the highway that say,
“Love – You Cannot Afford It!”
How this love could lose its kiss,
Me having to pay for this.

I cannot imagine,

Why the one who says she loves me,
Would lie to me thus,
Me not seeing the truth about us,
A love like this being destroyed by deceit,
Why someone would be so bittersweet.

I cannot imagine anything else,
But being with and loving you forever......
