I thought your heart was good
I thought our love was chiseled
Into stone, not wood
I thought we had forever
Each other side by side
That we would always walk hand in hand
With nothing either had to hide
I always thought that we could talk
And get through anything
That our love was more sturdy
Than all sorrows life would bring
