Exercise and diet are the two common means of losing weight but now with the advancement of technology a team of scientists in the United States have developed a chewing gum which helps to reduce the extra kilos.
The key component in this gum is human PYY, a hormone which regulates appetite as well as energy and is released in the bloodstream the moment people exercise or eats as stated by Syracuse University researchers.
Studies have earlier discovered that obese people compared to non-obese counterparts have lower PYY concentrations in their bloodstream. When PYY was given intravenously the hormone however functioned as appetite suppressant amongst obese as well as non-obese volunteers with both groups consuming fewer calories.
