EASY WAY FOR OVERLOCING AN AMD PROCESSOR
AMD K6 processors are older models of processors installed in desktop computers.
Overclocking the AMD K6 processor gives both the processor and computer a speed boost.
The PC's BIOS settings are changed to overclock the AMD K6 processor.
Instructions:
1: Boot up the PC holding the AMD K6 processor.
Press the "F8" key during the start process to enter the main boot menu.
Select the "BIOS" option in the main boot menu and press the "Enter" key.
2: Highlight the "External Bus" or "Front Bus" option with the cursor
and hit the "Enter" key. Locate the data in the "Front Bus Speed" field
and highlight it with the cursor. Press the "Enter" key once to open a list of choices.
Choose the option directly above the default setting
and press the "Enter" key. This sets the AMD K6's front bus speed to a higher level.
3: Highlight the "CPU" or "CPU Core" option with the cursor
and hit the "Enter" key. Locate the data in the "Multiplier" field
and highlight it with the cursor. Press the "Enter" key once to open a list of choices.
Choose the option directly above the default setting
and press the "Enter" key. This raises the AMD K6's processing frequency.
4: Move to the primary startup menu.
Press the "Save Changes and Exit" option.
The AMD K6 processor is now overclocked.
