KURMURE AND PHULIAN LADOO
Puffed rice and popped paddy mixed in jaggery syrup and shaped into ladoos - another Lohri delicacy.
Servings : 4
INGREDIENTS
Puffed rice (kurmura/murmura)
2 cups
Phulian
1 cup
Sesame seeds (til)
2 tablespoons
Ghee
1 tablespoon
Jaggery (gur)
1 1/2 cups
METHOD
Roast til till light brown. Heat ghee in a thick-bottomed pan. Add jaggery and cook till syrup of one string consistency is formed.Remove the syrup from heat and quickly mix in the kurmura and phulian. Smear a little ghee on your hand. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into small ladoos while still warm. Roll them in the roasted til and serve.
