If you stand idly waiting
for your dreams to come true,
you can be certain that
they'll never find the road to you.
If there's something you want,
your hope alone won't take you there;
you have to step into the arena,
labor, try, and dare.
You may think you can't do it,
too many shadows on the wall,
but often those shadows
hide the greatest gifts of all.
Our thoughts can create a barren world,
fraught with bitter wind and cold,
but just below the surface,
we each own a bit of gold.
And if we truly strive
to make our dreams come true
the rays of gold within
