How is Halloween perceived in Islam?

Islam is a complete code of life. It guides the Muslims in each and every matter of their lives. Halloween is a festival symbolizing superstitious and false beliefs, which are against the teachings of Islam. It is the responsibility of Muslims to not follow blindly others but to seek help from Quran and Sunnah.

Let’s have a glance at Qur’an and Sunnah and then ponder over.

Guidance from Qur'an:

"Has not the time arrived for the believers that their hearts in all humility should engage in the remembrance of Allah and of the Truth which has been revealed to them? That they should not become like those to whom was given the Book aforetime, but long ages passed over them and their hearts grew hard? For many among them are rebellious transgressors." (Qur'an 57:16)

Guidance from Sunnah:

“Whoever imitates a nation is one of them.” (Abu Dawud)

“The final hour will not come until my followers copy the deeds of the previous nations and follow them very closely, span by span, and cubit by cubit” (Al Bukhari)

What should I do as a Muslim??

1.Enlighten yourself with the true teachings of Islam.
2.Spread awareness among your loved ones about Halloween.
3.Abstain from superstitious beliefs.
4.Don’t waste money on purchasing Halloween costumes and decorations.

The Finale Word:

Always try to be best of the best. Prove yourself as Muslims; never want to be a Muslim who has nothing to do with Islam except having an Islamic name.

“O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared and die not except in a state of Islam.” (Surah Al-Imran 3:102)

If there is an ambiguity, let it discuss.

May ALLAH guide us towards right path. Ameen!
