RAJMA
Red kidney beans 1 cup
Onion 2
Tomato 2
Green chili 4
Garlic paste 2 tbsp
Ginger paste 2 tbsp
Black pepper 5 or 6
Red chili 3
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Lime juice 1 tsp
Bay leaf 2
Ghee or butter 2 tsp
Coriander leaves
Oil
Salt
* Take onions, garlic, ginger ,black pepper, red chilies, cumin seeds and cinnamon and blend it together and Set aside.
* Heat the oil in a pan and add the bay leaf and onion, fry until it becomes golden brown.
* Now add the blended masala and continue to fry on high heat till oil starts leaving the side of the masala. (about 15 mins)
* Then remove from heat, add the chopped tomatoes, drained beans and salt to taste, mix well.
* Add 1 cup water and bring it to boil.
* Then add ghee or butter to it and allow it cook for 5 minutes and remove form the heat.
* Garnish with coriander leaves, add lime juice and mix well.
* Serve with Chappathi.
