I was once watching a documentary about world war 2. In that there was a footage where islamic soldiers of azerbaijan with a patka on head standing in a line. They never seemed of turkey. The vocals other than nusrat fateh ali's reminds me of the traditional kawali singing of muslim young boys (not like rahat ali) of delhi of past years sufism.
