KARACHI: Senior journalist and Geo News’ anchor Hamid Mir appeared before the judicial commission in Karachi on Friday (today) to record his statement, Geo News reported.
A three-member judicial commission, constituted by the Supreme Court to investigate the assassination attempt on senior anchor Hamid Mir, resumed its proceedings today at the Supreme Court’s Karachi Registry.
The 3-member inquiry commission headed by Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali and comprising Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan and Justice Iqbal Hameed ur Rehman conducted the judicial proceeding in a closed room where Hamid Mir appeared on a wheelchair to record his statement.
It may be mentioned here that Amir Mir, brother of Hamid Mir, has already recorded his statement before the commission.
The home secretary, IG Sindh, Additional IG Karachi, DG Rangers Sindh, Joint Director Intelligence Bureau, DIG East, DIG Special Branch, SSP Traffic and other police officers have already submitted the relevant record and confidential reports on the incident.
