Gmail team has just added some quick access button to the gmail chat interface, these buttons will allow you to carry out video chat, voice chat or group chat in single mouse click from right inside the gmail.
The image shown below shows the difference after these quick buttons added to the chat window inside gmail.

PS: I wonder when google is going to revamp the old google chat desktop client interface, its been ages that they did not add anything new to it.
