صحابی رسول ابو امامہ باہلی رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت کرتے ہیں کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ارشاد فرمایا: ایک قوم ہدایت، صراط مستقیم اور سیدھے راستے پر ہوتی ہے، اس قوم کی گمراہی و ضلالت کا پہلا سبب ان کا آپس میں ناجائز بحث و مباحثہ اور جھگڑا بنتا (اسی نحوست کی وجہ سے پھر وہ ایک دوسرے سے دور رہیں اور ایک دوسرے کے دشمن بن جاتے ہیں)۔ رواہ الترمذی
