چاہا تھا جسے وہ ملا ہی نہیں
لاکھ کوشش کی لیکن یہ فاصلہ مٹا ہی نہیں

خدا سے جھولی پھیلا کہ مانگا تھا اسے
خدا نے میری کسی دعا کو سنا ہی نہیں

ہر ایک سے پوچھا اس کا نہ ملنے کا سبب
ہر ایک نے بتایا وہ تیرے لئے بنا ہی نہیں

کتنی شدت سے چاہا تھا اور وہ کسی اور کا ہو گیا
شائد اس جہان میں وفا کا صلہ ہی نہیں

میرے ہمنشین میرے ہمنوا یہ دعا ہے گلہ نہیں
اسے زندگی میں وہ سکون ملے جو مجھے کبھی ملا ہی نہیں
